Physical Education

Modification for Students who are not able to Participate in Physical Activities

If you are cleared to walk by your doctor, then you will dress out and walk the perimeter of your teacher’s activity.

On graded run days, you will need to complete in class a four paragraph article summary for your “run” grade. You need to bring to class: the Non-Participation Article Summary form, a health article you print from, a pen or pencil and a piece of notebook paper.

If you are not able to participate in PE at all, then you will be required to complete 3 Non-Participation Article summaries each week to cover the missed activities and the graded run.

You will need to dress out and bring the following items each day to PE: the Non-Participation Article Summary form, a health article you print from, a pen or pencil and a piece of notebook paper.

The student must be a nationally ranked athlete, or equivalent, performing or competing at a nationally recognized level (see Sports Qualifications). Team sport participation does not qualify for Independent Physical Education. For more information please see the CUSD website.
